Description

For this project, I combined type and image to create a collage inspired by an episode from a documentary tv series called Beyond the Canvas.

Challenge

Highlighting a specific theme from the episode through collage and finding a way to make the type “interrupt” the images.

Solution

One of the themes in the episode was using your voice to make a difference. To highlight this theme, I combined pictures of crowds protesting angrily and made my slogan be “Voice is Victory.” Then, I put my slogan over the mouth of one of the protesters to “interrupt” the image to look like the person was being silenced since that it was people try to do when others protest. I have the base image in a monochromatic color to make the other images stand out.
